SolidSlime Quest 2 adapter version changelog: 1.3~1.7

v1.3

  • Minor changes to make production easier.

v1.4

  • Added anatomic handle shape per request of Aiphaton.
    Inspiration is taken from Sanlaki’s anatomic handle.

  • Added versions where specific places of the blade are lowered, so rubber can be attached without making the adapter too thick.

  • Remodeled CPen (Chinese Penhold) handle so the “shoulders” now follow FocusGUAN’s TimoBoll Spirit CS blade.
    While looking at the FH side, the right shoulder is rounded more than the left side. Real life CPen players often use sandpaper to create this effect, to make the grip more comfortable.
  • “Shoulder” of CPen handle is printed with 100% infill, so it can be sanded down according to user preference.

  • Rotated screws towards the center line of the adapter more, so they don’t pose a potential safety risk.
  • Made the top part wider to strengthen it.

  • Shrank left wing (while a right handed player is doing a FH loop), in an attempt to make the ring even more visible during FH loop.

What makes a good adapter?

  • Incredible tracking quality. No tracking dead corner as you can see in the tracking demo video.
  • Realistically weighted and customizable. 168g if using a controller that has battery cap removed and AAA battery being used.
    • If you have a real life racket, tell me its weight and I’ll be able to print an adapter to match it as closely as possible.
  • Fantastic balance. Center of weight is lower than most of the other adapters. Feels just like holding a real racket. Since the weight is already quite low, there’s room for adding extra lead strips / rubber / grip tape to adjust the weight / balance even more.
  • No shakiness. Designed using a precise 3d scanned model of controller, and tightened by bolts+nuts.
  • Various handle shapes to choose from. Currently there are FL, ST, AN, CPen. Designed according to renowned Butterfly blades.
  • Works for both shakehand and penhold grip.
  • Easy battery change. No need to disassemble.
