Hi subscriber,

If you have been playing Eleven Table Tennis, you might have heard/experienced about the turbulent new UI&avatar update. The update has some problems, so the developers have rolled it back in good conscience (and it will be back in the future in better quality). You can view the patch notes here or follow the news in discord.

Now that the update is rolled back, there's one issue: if you allow the game to rollback (through updating the game), the paddle surface & position settings will be gone, due to version number discrepancy. That's why I'm sending this newsletter, to help you retain these settings.

For paddle position

If you are using the presets, then you just need to create a new paddle position profile once the game has been rolled back. As a reminder, here's how to do it: https://solidslime.net/adapter/ett-paddle-position-cloud-codes/

For paddle surface

If your game is still using new UI and haven't been updated, enter the game asap and write down the bounce/spin/throw numbers. Then when the game has been rolled back, you can create a new paddle surface profile using them. (don't try to upload the paddle settings in new UI. They won't load in old UI)
If your game already rolled back and you don't remember the bounce/spin/throw numbers...You can try to recall them, or use a USB cable to check the Quest 2 ETT logs through PC (the logs contain the settings), which is a tedious process. Anyway, I'd use this chance to experiment some new settings. Actually, I just discovered (with lab bounce data on), 99 bounce / 90 spin / 1.15 throw on both sides is very satisfying. 🤣

Despite the events, I hope we can keep positive and give some credit to the developers who have made such a wonderful TT simulator that only costs 20$. All is not lost.

And lastly, I'll be soon away till 2023-01-31. Before I leave, I'll ship all the remaining orders and set the store to out-of-stock status with a note. Afterwards, I'll be back with some great news in the next newsletter, especially for the players in North America.

Enjoy the day/evening/night and happy playing!
