Hello VR Sports Enthusiasts!
We hope you're having a fantastic time in and out of VR!
In this update, we'll share some updates about Eleven Table Tennis and some other games.

SolidSlime Adapter Presets are in more games

SolidSlime Q2&Q3 adapters work now out of the box in the following games:
Easy Pong is a family friendly table tennis game, in which you can "defeat" monsters or online opponents by returning balls consistently.
To me, T3S is the dream tool for personal training. This game contains over 60 training tasks that covers almost ALL the TT techniques, with recorded human motion demo. It has realistic physics simulation and a paddle configuration menu that works based on individual blade / rubber / sponge settings. And that is just a tip of the iceberg in terms of the features it has.
T3S is currently on Pico and will come to Quest very soon. Please watch the existing videos and follow my YouTube account for release news. You can also join T3S Discord Server to follow the updates.

Big Update in Eleven Table Tennis

New Features & Improvements
  • (Partial) Physics Parameters Have Been Tweaked to Match Real Life Better
    • Table friction has been increased.
    • Magnus effect has been reduced.
    • Air drag has been reduced.
  • New User Friendly Paddle Config UI
  • Set Height by Table Surface (Advanced Settings->Calibration Menu):
    • Ideal for players with table tennis tables at home.
    • How to use: Grip to engage—the game detects the lowest physical point between the two controllers. Simply touch your table and press either grip button to calibrate.
  • New External Link:
    • Added user-linking feature to 11Hero.com (an awesome table tennis resource) by @SolidSlime.
  • Oversized Toggle:
    • Now located in the Advanced Tracking section.
    • Note: This feature is planned for removal in the future but remains available for now.
Tracking Adjustments
  • Oculus Tracking Updates:
    • Three new toggles have been added in the lower-left corner of the Oculus Tracking section.
    • If all toggles are unchecked, the system will not recenter your table unless you manually trigger Eleven’s recentering (by holding Y/B buttons).
    • Potential benefit: This may help players experiencing excessive table motion.

ETT Physics Change: An in-depth look

In this update, the developer has worked with several IRL high level players to make the physics match real life better (please remember that is the goal). These are the changed parameters:
  • Table friction has been increased.
  • Magnus effect has been reduced.
  • Air drag has been reduced.

Combined Effects

  • Ball flies straighter and faster (due to reduced Magnus + lower air drag).
  • Topspin shots dip less, making loops flatter and easier to counter.
  • Backspin floats less, so defensive lobs may drop sooner

How to survive and thrive post the update

  • You might find the topspin balls fly out the table more than before. To counter that, the pros recommend reducing the throw coefficient of the rubbers by about 0.04. Bounce and Spin can be reduced if needed too. It's best to practice against the ball machine and do your stroke normally, while adjusting the parameters to make sure the ball lands properly.
  • Certain serves like, fast corner to corner serves, might fly out more than before. If you rely on such serves, please either adjust the serve, or utilize more serve types. In real life, a half long serve with either spin or no spin serve is usually the most effective.
  • Keep in mind what Michael Scott says, and always have fun!
That’s a wrap for this edition!
We hope you enjoyed the info. Stay tuned for more VR sports action, tips, and community spotlights coming your way soon.
Until next time—keep swinging, keep scoring, and maybe we’ll see you in the game! 🏓🔥
